A Sneak Peak on The Realm of Gigantes

Cabugao Sur Beach, Gigantes Is., Carles, Iloilo, Philippines

A mystical place like this can never be taken for granted. How wonderful it is that nature had given us a way to enthrall our senses with the mystic wonders of such luscious islets encompassing the waters of Gigantes, Carles, Iloilo, Philippines- which leaves me with one question:

How can we preserve such a place?

Sandbar, Gigantes Is., Carles, Iloilo, Philippines
"I was raised with the daily humdrums of the City of Iloilo but I am proud to have roots from Carles, Iloilo because of this enchanted place."

How to get there is as easy as 123. From Iloilo City terminal, Tagbak, Jaro, Iloilo City, ride an air-conditioned or non air-conditioned bus to Estancia, Iloilo. Once you have arrived at the Estancia transport terminal, ride a motorcycle "cab" to Estancia wharf, then, proceed to Estancia Port/Tourism Office for information on how to rent a pumpboat to Gigantes. People from that office are very much amiable so you can be assured that they can refer you to a reliable and honest boatman. The boat ride will take approximately 2 hours and, while traveling, be sure to bring loads of mineral water and snacks just to while away the time while riding the boat and absorbing the magical scenery that is bound to cross your way for the boatman will take you to various places in Gigantes that will surely strike you with an awesome sensation and fill your vision with wondrous imagination- like you're walking in paradise. Ask the boatman to take you in a restaurant-resort in Buaya Island, Sicogon, Philippines to delight your taste buds with the delectable taste of crabs, shrimps and fishes from the ocean. Food is very cheap and home-cooked so there is no need to worry about sky-rocketing prices.

For those people who love the noise and fun of Boracay, this is not the place for you. Gigantes is a haven for individuals who do not desire to be bombarded with social glamour and the "prestigious hocus-pocus" on the beach. Gigantes is a venue for souls who wants to find solace in a quiet and peaceful environment- away from the daily stress of their everyday life...
